In summary, we provide simple, easy-to-understand solutions to complex global tax problems.
Now in the world of expatriate tax, there are broadly four kinds of assignee or expat :
- Inbounds (e.g. foreigners coming to Australia on the common “457” four-year work visa or on short-term business trip visas).
- Outbounds (e.g. Australians or foreigners going overseas to work or going on business trips).
- Inter-State workers (e.g. employees working on a “FIFO” or Fly In / Fly Out rotation from say Perth to the Queensland site).
- Foreigner to foreign (e.g. a “tax-equalized” US national moves from London to Shanghai, employed by Singapore and paid into her Cyprus bank account – with no Australian connection at all).
We can help you with all of these scenarios.
There are always tax opportunities to find and tax pitfalls to avoid whenever anyone moves around the world or around the country.
